Yesterday Alasdair Allan, MSP for Na h-Eileanan an Iar, hosted a workshop with the People’s Postcode Lottery to help local charities and organisations identify and apply for suitable funding.
The workshop was held online, with representatives from over 40 Western Isles groups in attendance. It covered the levels and types of funding offered by the People’s Poscode Lottery (PPL) and details of the application process, as well as the help PPL are able to provide applicants.
Commenting, Allan thanked all those who had attended, and said:
“Here in the Western Isles we have a wealth of dedicated and effective organisations who work very hard to improve the lives of individuals and communities as a whole. It is vital that these groups can access the relevant information and support to apply for relevant funding, which in turn can help their efforts to have an even greater reach.
“I would like to thank the People’s Postcode Lottery for putting on this event, and for offering their expertise and advice to all the groups present this morning, and I hope that the workshop was helpful for all the attendees.”
Organisations can apply for grants through the People’s Postcode Lottery at the beginning of each month. For more details, see https://www.postcodetrust.org.uk/apply-for-a-grant/
